Remote Node.js and React Developer

📍 Remote ☕️ Senior Developers ⏱ Full Time¹ 💶 €2,000 to €2,750 monthly²

What you'll do?

You'll help a US based startup serving the professional sport teams (NHL, NBA, Baseball) with solutions to sell and upsell tickets to their fans in innovative ways.

There's an existing codebase written in early versions of React and jQuery in the frontend and Express and Sails.js in the backend. Currently, they're working on rewriting their tech stack using Typescript, modern React and Nest.js.

Your daily tasks will involve bug fixes and enhancements in the existing stack and building new features in the new stack. There'll be a weekly standup with the whole team where we discuss status and upcoming tasks. You'll be expected to available on Slack consistently to help fixing urgent bugs or crashes during times of high load.

How long?

This is a remote contract position for 1 year, with the possibility of extension at the end of the term.

What we're looking for

  • At least 4-5 years of professional experience as a full-stack or frontend engineer.
  • You're able to clearly express yourself in English both orally and in written form.
  • Deep understanding of either Node.js or React. Having both is a big plus.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and RDBMS
  • You can work independently and as a team
  • Problem solver, care about well-crafted software and ready to add value
  • Bonus: Experience with Docker, Grafana, Twilio, CDK
