Snack Hub is a simple self-checkout system for office snack bars: employees scan, pay, and go. No cashier, no complicated hardware, no friction.
Challenge

Office snack bars are a nice perk, but managing them is a headache. Someone has to track inventory, collect payments, and restock. Most solutions are either too complex or too expensive for what is essentially a shelf with snacks.

Result

A lightweight self-checkout system used in offices across Europe, handling payments and inventory with minimal setup.

Why we built it

One of our team members wanted a snack bar in the office. The options were: trust people to pay on the honor system (doesn't scale), hire someone to manage it (too expensive), or use an enterprise vending solution (overkill).

We built Snack Hub instead.

What it does

Self-checkout. Employees scan items with their phone, pay instantly, and grab their snack. No app to install; it works through a simple web interface.

Inventory tracking. The system knows what's in stock and what's running low. Restocking notifications go out automatically so the shelf never stays empty for long.

Payment processing. Integrated payments so money flows directly. No cash, no IOUs, no awkwardness.

Simple setup. A QR code on each product and a tablet on the shelf. That's it. No custom hardware, no complex installation.

Where it is now

Snack Hub is live at snackhub.eu and running in offices across Europe. It started as a side project and turned into a product that other companies wanted too.
